Lisa Ngo - Co-President
(she/her)
Lisa is a U4 undergraduate student majoring in Psychology and minoring in Behavioural Science and History at McGill. She is passionate about storytelling and mental health. She hopes to help shine a spotlight on individual’s mental health stories as she believes that we can foster empathy by doing so. In her free time, she enjoys walking, singing, baking and binge-watching TV shows or Youtube videos.
Eli Zakutaylo - Co-President

Eli is a U4 undergraduate student majoring in Psychology and minoring in Linguistics at McGill. They discovered a passion for language acquisition and hope they’ll have the opportunity to learn more about it in the years to come. They love reading, writing, and listening to music. Their wish for the future is to keep finding and facilitating safe spaces.
Emily MacDougall - VP Administration

Emily is a U0 Arts student at McGill. She’s passionate about learning anything and everything she can, especially history pertaining to fashion, women, crime, and weird stuff. She loves cooking, True Crime, listening to podcasts, and making Spotify playlists. Her wish is to go into criminal law in the future to try and make the legal system a more understanding and compassionate place, no matter the circumstances.
Sarah Jang - VP Finances

Sarah is U3 undergraduate majoring in Economics and minoring in International Development Studies at McGill. She loves memes, curating her spotify playlists and curling up with a good book when she’s not trying to meet assignment deadlines. As someone who believes in making sense of the world around us through the lens of different perspectives she wishes for a future in which discussions surrounding mental health are less stigmatized.
Donna Lee - VP Communications

Donna is a U2 Arts student at McGill studying international development and psychology. She’s passionate about mental health and well-being. Her passions include self-care, makeup, fashion, working out, cooking, and listening to great music. She also loves her two year old cat, Freddie. Her wish is to make the world a kinder place by raising awareness on mental health.
Zeny Gatdula - VP Communications

Zeny is a U2 Arts student majoring in English Cultural Studies and double-minoring in Communications and Political Science. She’s passionate about mental health advocacy, racial justice, and anything media related. In her free time, she loves learning more about mental health and self-care, making Spotify playlists for every mood, and perfecting her iced latte recipe. Her wish for the future is to amplify diverse voices and perspectives.
Bianca Durand - Editor

Bianca is in her third year of undergraduate studies at McGill and majoring in English Literature. Her passions include writing, reading, travelling and photography. She loves to spend time with her friends and meet new people as well as spending some time on her own and taking care of herself. She is working her way towards a career in editing, hopefully abroad, and hopes to see a world where people will keep fighting for each other instead of against each other.

Emma is a U3 undergraduate student majoring in Psychology and minoring in English Literature and Communication Studies at McGill. She feels passionate about taking a well-rounded approach to problem solving: pairing critical-thinking with empathy and compassion. She loves baking, cooking (and most importantly, eating), as well as riding her electric scooter and swimming. Her wish for the future is that she and the rest of humanity will continually learn new and diverse ways of looking at the world.

Ben is a U2 undergraduate student majoring in Psychology and double minoring in Italian Studies and Translation Studies at McGill. A couple of years ago, he developed a passion for trail running and nature, and would one day love to explore the beautiful landscapes of New Zealand. He enjoys reading, practicing and learning about various sports, and is an avid knowledge seeker. His wish for the future is to help make the world a happy world.
Evelyne Eng - Editor

Evelyne is in her third year of studying Communications and Honours English Literature. She enjoys practicing yoga and riding her bike around the city, but most of the time she can be found messing with her cat. She believes that physical movement and writing can be incredibly cathartic. By working with the Empathy Journal, she hopes to help others to convey their experiences with mental health and inspire others to do the same.

Juliette is a third year English Literature major, with a minor in Communication Studies. She hopes to be able to encourage and help people write and read about mental health! She’s passionate about cooking, baking, reading, writing and playing the accordion! Recently, she has really been wanting to get a fish. In the future, she hopes that people will continue writing about the things that matter to them and sharing them with others!
Iris Du - Editor

Iris is in her first year of her MSc. in Microbiology and Immunology. She enjoys meeting new people to hear about their life stories because you never hear the same one twice. When she does have an occasional hour to spare, she enjoys spending that time sleeping or aimlessly browsing social media. Her wish for the future is to not have to worry about American elections anymore.
